The laboratory of Cancer Radiotherapy department is the base of scientific research, which belongs to the Innovation Basic Scientific Research Institute of the Peking University Third Hospital. The laboratory carries out basic and translational medical research on radiobiology with the advantages of the equipments and personnel of the whole hospital.

At present, the laboratory has 3 postdoctoral students, 5 doctoral and 6 master candidate students. In recent years, a series of work about the impact of tumor microenvironment on radiotherapy has been carried out. And the works on the tumor immune response and tumor metabolism combined with tumor radiotherapy have been gradually developed. Currently, the laboratory has undertaken 2 projects supported by the National Key Research and Development Program of China, 1 project supported by the National Natural Science Foundation-Key Program of China, 5 projects supported by the General and Youth Program of National Natural Science Foundation of China, 2 projects supported by Beijing Natural Science Fund and the other provincial and ministerial development funds. So far, the laboratory has published more than 20 SCI papers including the articles and reviews.
