There are 18 nurses in tumor radiotherapy department of Peking University Third Hospital, including 1 nurse with a master's degree and 13 nurses with bachelor's degrees. One of them possesses the professional title of professor of nursing and master Instructor, 4 of them are supervisor nurses and 11 with a professional title of junior nurse. Among them, one nurse has the qualification certificate of American Vascular Access Association (AVA), 2 oncology nurse specialists of Beijing Nursing Association and 1 infusion nurse of Beijing Nursing Association.

The nurse team of tumor radiotherapy department has strong professionalism. Among them, the perioperative period of radioactive seeds implantation and the nursing of Cyber knife technology are characteristic nursing items. The nursing of tumor radiotherapy department is of strong integrity, which can effectively relieve radiotherapy patients of the pain, reduce clinical complications and care for nutrition problems of patients. The professional level of nursing in the department of tumor radiotherapy is relatively high. Nurses improve their personal quality and professional quality through monthly nursing rounds, study and assessment, and gradually form a high-quality nursing team.

Tumor radiotherapy department has made outstanding achievements in clinical nursing, medical teaching, scientific research, team building and other aspects. The nursing team has won the second and third prizeson advanced collective of excellent nursing service in Peking University Third Hospital; the nurses of tumor radiotherapy department have won the titles of excellent nurses, excellent head nurses, excellent nurses in Haidian District, and "Angel Star" of Peking University Health Science Center; In the past five years, nurses of tumor radiotherapy department have participated in the compilation of 6 nursing books, including 4 books published with titles ofdeputy editors , 22 articles published in core journals, 2 SCI articles and 1 MEDLINE article. Some papers have won the excellent paper awards of Chinese Medical Association, Chinese Nursing Society, Beijing Medical Association, etc. In 2017, head nurse Wang Panfeng made a speech at the conference of North American radiation conference, who was the first nurse to speak in the conference in mainland China.

In the period of anti-Covid-19 in 2020, three nurses in our department, Ma Jun, Zhang Muyi and Dai Anqi, actively volunteered to participate in the work of Hubei medical team, showing the spiritsof nurses----- fearlessnessof difficulties, bravely facing with dangers, willing of dedication regardless of personal life and death,who practice the spirit of angels in white.
