The results of the China Hospital Science and Technology Evaluation Metrics evaluation have been consistently published from 2014 to 2023, capturing widespread attention from society. This year, the research on China Hospital Scientific and Technological Metrics continued to adhere to uniform standards, sources, and methods, constructing an evaluation system across three dimensions: scientific output, academic impact, and technological conditions. The evaluation emphasized an increased focus on direct output indicators such as high-quality papers, patents and their utilization, guidelines and standards, and papers cited by international authoritative guidelines, with a central emphasis on quality, performance, and contribution. It differentiated the roles of highly cited scientists, highlighting the influence of scholars with substantial contributions. The weight of indirect identification indicators such as scientific awards, professional titles, and academic appointments was reduced. The evaluation consistently prioritized addressing academic misconduct, continually escalating the severity of penalties. It also integrated the application of new technologies to enhance the intelligence level of data processing.
