Clinical Pharmacists from the Pharmacy Department of Peking University Third Hospital Participate in and Present Their Work at the 22nd Asian Clinical Pharmacy Congress

From July 13 to 15, 2023, the 22nd Asian Conference on Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) took place in Vietnam, drawing over a hundred pharmacists from 16 countries and regions. These professionals deeply engaging in exchanging practical experiences and sharing research findings. Yang Li, the Chief Pharmacist, as well as Zhou Pengxiang and Song Zaiwei, Supervisor Pharmacists from the Pharmacy Department of Peking University Third Hospital, were invited to attend the conference and deliver specialized presentations. They comprehensively showcased Peking University Third Hospital's fruitful achievements in clinical pharmacy practice, teaching, research, and management. Their presentations highlighted the excellence of Chinese pharmacists alongside over twenty distinguished clinical pharmacy colleagues from across the nation.

Yang Li presented on "Construction and Effectiveness Evaluation of a Simulation Teaching System Based on Inpatient Pharmacist Competencies," discussing the development of a standardized training simulation teaching system for inpatient pharmacists and the experience in enhancing simulation teaching management. This teaching project won the second prize for teaching achievements at Peking University in 2021, demonstrating strong applicability and extensibility. Zhou Pengxiang's report, titled " Current Practice and Effectiveness Evaluation of Pharmaceutical Outpatient Services in Chinese Medical Institutions," provided a systematic exploration of the current practices and effectiveness of pharmaceutical outpatient services in China. It also introduced the exploratory model and implementation results of the pediatric pharmaceutical outpatient service at Peking University Third Hospital.. Song Zaiwei's report, titled "Building an Evidence Ecosystem for Individualized High-Dose Methotrexate Treatment: From Precision Medication to Detailed Services," described the creation of an integrated evidence ecosystem encompassing "production-synthesis-conversion-implementation" through evidence-based medical research and artificial intelligence-supported intelligent decision-making studies. This approach achieved a comprehensive pharmacological service process, from pre-treatment assessment and monitoring during treatment to post-treatment care. This project was nationally ranked first  in the 2021 China Guideline/Consensus STAR Rating and recognized among the Capital's Leading Academic Achievements by the Beijing Association for Science and Technology.
