Professor Shen Ning's Team from Peking University Third Hospital Publishes Latest Research Findings in Drug Resistance Updates

Recently, the team led by Professor Shen Ning of the Infectious Disease Center at Peking University Third Hospital published a study titled “In-host dynamics of heteroresistant blaSHV-12 gene amplification leading to ST11 type pan-resistant and highly virulent Klebsiella pneumoniae against cefepime” in the authoritative journal in the field of clinical drug-resistant bacteria research, Drug Resistance Updates. This study underscores the imperative to enhance genomic surveillance of bacterial resistance, facilitating targeted and judicious antibiotic utilization.

Vice Researcher Liu Chao of the Infectious Disease Department, Chief Physician Lu Ming, and Yi Juan, a master's degree student at the Medical Department of Peking University, are the co-first authors of the paper. Professor Shen Ning of the Infectious Disease Center at Peking University Third Hospital and Researcher Du Pengcheng of Qi Tan Technology are the co-corresponding authors.
