The "Musculoskeletal System" is a compulsory course for the eight-year clinical medicine undergraduate program at the university. As one of the first organ system courses to undergo reform, the teaching team has always followed Peking University's educational philosophy of "cultivating individuals who lead the future." Aligning with the developmental positioning of Peking University Medicine and the goals of educational reform in the "new era," the team has innovated by breaking down the boundaries between basic medical sciences, clinical medicine, public health, and other disciplines. They have created an integrated course model for the musculoskeletal system that combines "Integrated Basic Medical Sciences" with "Clinical System Courses." This approach shifts from a discipline and teacher-centered mode of knowledge presentation to an organ system and student-centered knowledge construction process. It guides students to actively build their knowledge systems and establish a broad perspective on health and wellness.
