Professor Xu Ming's Team from Peking University Third Hospital Publishes Frontier Exploration on Cardiac Lipid Regulation in Diabetic Cardiomyopathy in Nature Metabolism

Recently, Professor Xu Ming's team from Department of Cardiology of Peking University Third Hospital published a research paper titled "Inhibition of Fatty Acid by TGR5 Prevents Diabetic Cardiomyopathy" in the top-tier journal Nature Metabolism. The study unveils a new mechanism of cardiac lipid metabolism regulation in diabetic cardiomyopathy, bridging bile acid metabolism and cardiac lipid metabolism, and providing a new strategy for reducing cardiac lipid accumulation. The journal invited experts in the field to write an accompanying commentary and a senior editor to write a highlight review of the study.Professor Xu Ming, along with Professor Jiang Changtao, a distinguished professor from the Peking University School of Basic Medical Sciences and Peking University Third Hospital, are the corresponding authors of the paper. Dr. Wang Hu, a PhD student from Department of Cardiology at Peking University Third Hospital, is the first author of the paper.
