Li Meizhi(李美芝) Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Chief Physician, Advisor for Doctorate Candidates
Specializes in diagnoses and management for emmeniopathy, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome and infertility etc.
Graduated from Beijing Medical College’s Department of Clinical Medicine in 1955, participated in the research program of In Vitro Fertilization and Embryo Transfer (IVF-ET) and Gamete Intrafallopian Transfer (GIFT), a “Key-problem Tackling” task during the“Seventh Five-year Planning” of China. Professor Li was a major staff member for culture of the first test tube baby of China and she paid successive visits to the USA and Austria for study of test tube baby techniques
For years she had been engaged in jobs of Obstetrics and Gynecology as clinical education and scientific researches with major investigations focused on Gynecological Endocrine diseases such as diagnoses and treatment for irregular menses, galactorrhea or galactorrhea-amenorrhea syndrome especially with leader position in China and advanced level in international arena for Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. She has authorship of more than 50 medical papers and is currently a member of specialty board for Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Chinese medical Association Beijing Branch.
