Peking University Third Hospital clinical stem cell research center was founded in 2006, mainly engaged in the research of stem cell clinical application. Based on discipline overlapping, information and resource sharing, we cooperate with researchers from various departments in the hospital.

The center covers an area of about 500 square meters, is mainly composed of two GMP workshops, research area and their affiliated area. Different regions are separated to each other; only authorized personnel are permitted to enter. The center is equipped with kinds of experimental instruments, which provide a good working platform for clinical departments to carry out stem cell research.

In 2016, the center passed the National Record of Stem Cell Clinical Research Institue. We are responsible for the management of stem cell clinical research project. Currently, one stem cell clinical research which aims to use human umbilical cord derived mesenchymal stem cell to treat psoriasis, has been approved by National Health Commission of the People's Republic of China.
