Fu Wei has been responsible for the overall work of the hospital, focusing on discipline construction, development planning and resource disposition and collaboration between enterprises, hospital and research institutes. Fu Wei has also served as deputy secretary of Communist Party of China of our hospital.

He successively served as Deputy Director of the General Surgery Department, Secretary of the Party Branch of the General Surgery Department, Director of the Critical Care Medicine Department, Director of the Emergency Department, Director of Cancer Center, Director of Center for Rare Disease, President of the Airport Hospital, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Committee of the hospital, and Vice president of Medical Affair of the Third Peking University Hospital.

Focus and Interests

He has been engaged in medical treatment, teaching, scientific research and emergency and critical treatment of gastrointestinal surgery for a long time, and is committed to the promotion and application of minimally invasive technology and multidisciplinary diagnosis and treatment model, to expand and promote the minimally invasive and standardized treatment of gastrointestinal tumors.

At the same time, based on the scientific problems found in clinical practice, he actively carries out translational medicine research combining basic and clinical and cross-disciplinary integration research.
