On May 16, 2024, the "Lung Leaders: Journey Together" international academic exchange event, organized by the Department of Thoracic Surgery at Peking University Third Hospital, took place in Beijing. Vice President Shen Ning graced the event and delivered the opening speech. Qiang Guangliang, Executive Deputy Director of the Department of Thoracic Surgery, presided over the opening ceremony and facilitated the academic exchange activities. Professor Gonzalo Varela, former President of the European Society of Thoracic Surgeons (ESTS) from Spain, and Professor Laksmi Wulandari from Indonesia, along with experts from Peking University Third Hospital, China-Japan Friendship Hospital, and Beijing Hospital, participated in academic exchanges. He Huayu, Ren Peng, and Jin Liang from the Department of Thoracic Surgery, Gu Yangchun from the Department of Tumor Chemotherapy and Radiation Sickness, and Chen Yi from the Department of Tumor Radiotherapy at Peking University Third Hospital presented academic reports and shared case studies during the event.
