Peking University Third Hospital Showcases Multiple Innovative Transformation Achievements at the 2023 Service Trade Fair and Participates in Several Key Events

From September 2 to 6, 2023, the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), commonly referred to as the "Service Trade Fair," was held in Beijing. Peking University Third Hospital showcased several innovative transformation achievements at the fair and participated in multiple important events

The projects showcased by Peking University Third Hospital at the Service Trade Fair included a "Spinal Lamina Resection Surgery Robot" developed by Professor Li Weishi's Orthopedics team, an "Embedded Odontoid Shift Surgery Tool" developed by Professor Cui Guoqing's Sports Medicine team, an  "Solid Endurance-Enhancing Sports Drink" developed by Professor Chang Cuiqing's Sports Medicine team, an "Stem Cell Cryopreservation Technique" developed by Researcher Yan Jie's Reproductive Medicine team, and an "Fat Measurement Device" developed by Associate Professor An Yang's Plastic Surgery team. They filled gaps  of both international and domestic research, showcasing the innovative vitality of Peking University Third Hospital in multiple facets and perspectives. On September 3, during the open day events, President Fu Wei personally received visitors at the booth for consultations and exchanges. Lei Haichao, Deputy Director of the National Health Commission, and Zhong Dongbo, Party Secretary of the Beijing Municipal Health Commission, and other leaders also visited the exhibition hall to guide and view the innovative achievements of Peking University Third Hospital.

On September 2nd, the 2023 Public Health Summit Forum, Academician Qiao Jie, as the principal investigator, received recognition for the key project "Research on Emergency Response and Routine Protective Measures for COVID-19 in Medical Institutions," which was selected as one of the top ten achievements of the Beijing Health Development Research Special Project from 2012-2022. On September 3, at the high-end forum on Medical Science and Technology and Industrial Development, Vice President Song Chunli delivered a keynote report titled "Building an Efficient Cooperative Service Platform to Aid the Development of Artificial Intelligence Products" and participated in the launch ceremony of the "Healthcare Technology Achievement Transformation Information Service Platform." On September 6, at the 2023 Capital Medical and Engineering Integration Innovation Development Summit Forum, Peking University Third Hospital, initiated the "Beijing Medical and Pharmaceutical Science and Technology Innovation Alliance"， together with several other hospitals, Mu Rong, Deputy Director of the Rare Diseases Diagnosis and Treatment Center and Head of the Department of Rheumatology and Immunology, and Fan Dongsheng, Head of the Department of Neurology, were invited to participate in the international collaboration announcement segment for rare diseases on the evening of September 2. During the conference, Vice President Tang Yida and Jiang Xue, Director of President Office and Office of Research Achievement Transformation, were interviewed by the People's Daily Health Client and Xinhua News Agency, respectively. They discussed the experience of improving medical standards and ensuring public health through hospital scientific and technological innovation.
