From 9 to 11 May, the Department of General Surgery successfully held the Ninth National Laparoscope Minimally Invasive Surgery workshop for intermediate and higher rank as well as the demonstrations for the surgery site. Nearly 500 colleagues from over 20 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities all over the country attended this academic conference. Director Xiu Dianrong gave a speech over expanding the appliance of the laparoscope technology in general surgeries at the opening ceremony. During the conference, the participants watched 17 minimally invasive surgery demonstrations performed by Xiu Dianrong, Xu Zhi, Fu Wei, Yuan Jiong, Hou Chunsheng, Yao Hongwei and Wang Dechen relatively.
