In the October of 2014, there were three paper summaries about fertility preservation published in Lancet (Impact factor: 39.207), an internationally renowned medical journal, in which three internationally renowned experts in this field elaborated separately how fertility protection plays an important role in preserve fertility of male and female cancer patients and elderly women. Professor QiaoJie and Chief Physician Li Rong in Reproductive Medicine Center of Gynecology and Obstetrics Department in PUTH was invited to publish a comment article titled “Fertility preservation: challenges and opportunities”, in which they analyzed the meaning, the importance and the international development status of fertility preservation, and put forward the planning of future prospects to this field.
