ON the morning of September 12^th, 87 patients with congenital heart disease from Aba of Tibet arrived in Beijing, accompanied by their families. They would receive surgeries on congenital heart disease in 13 hospitals in Beijing. Among them, 14 patients were admitted to our hospital with their families.

Leaders of our hospital attached great importance to the " Work together to build Chinese heart " congenital heart disease treatment work, setting up a leading group and a special working group. President of hospital Qiao Jie, Party Secretary and Vice president Jin Changxiao attended meetings on mobilization and coordination of related work to emphasize the importance of the task for many times . Gao Wei, vice president of hospital, personally presided over large-scaled intra-hospital and external-hospital consultations.

According to the hospital arrangement, patients accepted an overall preoperative examination on September 13th. On 14th, a large consultation with the involvement of relevant departments of the whole hospital was organized. On 16th, Professor Wan Feng and Zhang Zhe, director of physician, operated surgery on three patients with congenital heart disease. On 17^th, another large consultation within and outside the hospital was held to analyze the other 11 cases one by one and make treatment plans.
