Peking University Third Hospital and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Jointly Launch the English-Language Journal Advanced Clinical Engineering

On January 26, 2026, the launch ceremony for Advanced Clinical Engineering (ACE; Chinese title: Medical Engineering Innovation), China's first English-language academic journal focused on medical-engineering integration, was held at the Peking University Health Science Center Library. Jointly founded by Peking University Third Hospital and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and published by Higher Education Press, the journal marks the establishment of an international platform for academic exchange and dissemination of achievements in China's medical-engineering integration field.

Academician Qiao Jie, Director of Peking University Health Science Center and a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Academician Teng Jinguang, President of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, serve as the journal's honorary editors-in-chief. The advisory team includes Professor Fu Wei, President of Peking University Third Hospital; Professor Tang Yida, Deputy Director of Peking University Health Science Center and Vice President of Peking University Third Hospital; Professor Wong Wing-tak, Deputy President and Provost of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University; Professor Man Hau Chung, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University; and other experts and scholars. Professor Yuan Chunhui from the Department of General Surgery of Peking University Third Hospital and Professor Mo Yang from the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University serve as co-editors-in-chief. Bing Yuntao from the Department of General Surgery of Peking University Third Hospital and Yang Lidong from the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University serve as executive editors-in-chief.

The editorial board of ACE comprises 59 experts from 15 countries and regions around the world.
